Formed in 2009, it is the position of the Patient First Air Medical Transport Alliance that air medical service (AMS) missions can be completed safely and that those services are necessary for positive patient outcomes for victims of trauma and serious medical conditions. The public has the expectation that all air medical transport programs are of comparable level of care, safety and efficiency. However, there are a number of questions a prospective customer should be asking, or a referring health care professional should be asking on the patient’s behalf.
