AirMed’s Ho‘omaika‘i (Appreciation) Program
In Hawaiian, the word "ho'omaika'i" means “appreciate,” and AirMed Hawaii’s Ho'omaika'i Program does just that – it recognizes people throughout the medical field in Hawaii with appreciation for their exemplary work.
The staff of AirMed Hawaii selects an individual or team from Hawaii’s healthcare industry to be recognized with the Ho'omaika'i Award, and AirMed Hawaii donates $100 to the charity of the recipient’s choice.
“We are inspired daily by the people we work with in hospitals and clinics throughout Hawaii. Their work is without fanfare, but really deserves to be recognized. It’s an honor to be in the company of people who do so much,” says Peter Hughes, Clinical Manager for AirMed Hawaii.
