AirMed Hawaii’s medical team and capabilities are unsurpassed. A highly trained and experienced staff of RNs and paramedics provide the highest quality of in-flight care aboard aircraft designed with specialty medical equipment.
AirMed’s Rapid Response Teams (RRT) on the neighbor islands take this care a step further. Made up of an AirMed RN or Mobile Intensive Care Technician (paramedic), the team reports to the patient’s bedside within 10-20 minutes of a request for transfer. They assist the hospital nurse with all necessary paperwork and prepare the patient for flight. The RRT member then accompanies the patient in the ambulance to the flight line.
