Hawaii’s only air medical transport service to fly with two pilots on every mission
AirMed is Hawaii’s only accredited air medical transport service providing medical transportation between islands, to the mainland, and throughout the world on a 24/7 basis.
Dedicated to the highest quality of medical transportation, patient care and flight safety, AirMed is the only service of its kind in Hawaii that flies with two pilots on every mission. While we are not required to fly with two pilots, we do so for the safety of our patients and crew. Pilots average 10-years of flight experience in Hawaii, and all flights are conducted under Instrument Flight Rules under the control of Air Traffic Control.
Every AirMed flight is staffed with a paramedic and critical care trained registered nurse with advanced training in airway management, altitude physiology, trauma resuscitation and management.
Hawaii’s only CAMTS accredited air medical transport service

CAMTS is the only accreditation agency to offer worldwide standards for ground, helicopter and fixed wing medical transport systems. The voluntary review process covers every aspect of the AirMed operation, from patient medical care to aircraft safety. This prestigious accreditation is likened to JCAHO and is required for air ambulance companies used by the U.S. Dept. of Defense and leading international medical centers.
