March 12, 2007 (Birmingham, AL) -- AirMed International, the country’s leading air ambulance service, has announced the appointment of Sarah Hanley as their new Director of Corporate Communications. Ms. Hanley brings more than a decade of experience in public relations, marketing and communications to the company.
A native of Alabama, Ms. Hanley has an extensive background in national and international public relations for both corporations and non-profit organizations. She served as the Director of Press and Public Relations for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival in Montgomery where she won numerous awards for her creative campaigns and secured an impressive list of media coverage from across the globe. During her tenure at ASF, she oversaw the successful launch of the acclaimed Southern Writers’ Project and attracted major media outlets including The New York Times, USA Today, Wall St. Journal, NBC’s The Today Show and the award-winning PBS series Nova.
As the lead marketing manager for the Internet Service Provider MindSpring Enterprises, Ms. Hanley oversaw branding and strategic marketing for the company on a nationwide level, as well as serving as a national media buyer for print and broadcast outlets. She served with MindSpring from the very beginnings of the World Wide Web itself and stayed through the smooth transition to the company’s current name, EarthLink. While at MindSpring/EarthLink, she played a key role in integrating the company’s brand across multiple platforms and became the most successful field manager in the company’s history.
