AirMed Nominated for 2008 ITIJ Award

(September 9, 2008) - AirMed International LLC, a Birmingham-based air ambulance company, was recently notified that it is one of three finalists for the prestigious 2008 International Travel Insurance Journal (ITIJ) Air Ambulance Provider of the Year Award. This is the 16th year for the ITIJ awards, which recognize world leaders in the insurance, assistance and air ambulance industry. AirMed won in this same category in 2007.

 

AirMed was nominated by the more than 20,000 readers of ITIJ, rising to the top of the international air ambulance market along with two other nominees from Canada. Upon notification, AirMed and other finalists were asked to create presentations for an independent judging panel, which will ultimately decide category winners. The finalists' presentations will be screened at the ITIC Gala Dinner awards evening to be held in Budapest, Hungary in November. Top awards will be given in the following categories: Air Ambulance Provider of the Year; Assistance/Claims Handler of the Year; Cost Containment Company and Provider of the Year; Insurer/Underwriter of the Year; Intermediary of the Year, and ITIJ Marketing Campaign of the Year.
