AirMed Welcomes New Account Executive
William M. Jacka joins AirMed’s Sales Team
February 28, 2007 (Birmingham, Al.) – AirMed International, LLC announces the addition of William (Bill) Jacka, Sr. to the sales and marketing team as an account executive. Mr. Jacka will join the national sales team with current locations in Alabama, Nevada, California, and Canada.
Mr. Jacka brings forty years of experience in the insurance industry to the AirMed International sales team. His specialties include aviation and accident and health programs. A graduate of Michigan State University, he began his career with the Glen Falls Insurance Company in Chicago in 1960. In 1962, he moved to Birmingham, Alabama to join Molton, Allen & Williams, where he started as a producer and served for 44 years in many capacities as an officer with this large brokerage company.
When Mr. Jacka moved to Alabama, he cultivated a relationship with Coach Paul “Bear” Bryant of the University of Alabama. This led him to enlist the assistance of other risk managers throughout the country, and together they developed the most comprehensive Play/Practice & Travel Accident Insurance program in the country, currently in use by 30 major Division I universities. Mr. Jacka has extensive expertise in insurance coverage in all aspects of higher education and has been involved with all the major universities in the State of Alabama.
Mr. Jacka was instrumental in obtaining flight insurance for AirMed’s CEO, Jeffrey Tolbert when Mr. Tolbert was just 18 years old and has maintained that relationship ever since. He maintains a long-standing relationship with various London brokers and is extremely valuable in negotiating coverage and fair premiums for underwriting the AirMed Traveler Membership. Mr. Jacka’s expertise, experience, and knowledge of the aviation and health arena is a tremendous asset to the AirMed International, LLC sales team.
