Famed Mayo Clinic selects AirMed International as Exclusive Air Medical Transport Service for its Employees

Mayo Clinic has selected Birmingham, Alabama-based AirMed International as their exclusive air ambulance transport for its employees as part of their comprehensive benefits package. Selected as one of the “Top 100 Companies to Work For in 2007” by Forbes Magazine, the Mayo Clinic is located in Rochester, Minnesota, and is consistently ranked as one of the top hospitals in the nation.

AirMed, the country’s leading air ambulance service with more than 1 million members in the United States and Canada, opened a base of operations in Rochester to meet the needs of the Mayo agreement. AirMed’s permanently equipped, fixed wing air ambulances provide a state-of-the-art ICU environment and can reach remote areas should a Mayo Clinic employee require medical evacuation.
