Get a Worldwide Safety Net with AirMed. No matter where you are or what unfortunate accident or illness occurs, AirMed's international air ambulance service has you covered. Enroll now in a low cost membership.
A medical evacuation can cost $200,000 or more. But with AirMed, the full cost of the flight, medical staffing and ground transportation needed to safely transport you is included with your membership. Plus, AirMed is much more than a patient transport company. We provide some of the finest medical care in the world. Our flights are staffed with the appropriate mix of critical care nurses, respiratory therapists and specially trained physicians. After all, we’re in the business of saving lives.
In addition to the evacuation and medical care provided, AirMed will expedite the bureaucratic “red tape” involved in getting you out of foreign countries, preventing unnecessary delays. An annual membership provides up to 2 evacuations per membership year.
If an AirMed member is hospitalized in their hometown and requires the services of a specialty hospital located more than 150 miles from the member's primary residence, AirMed will provide air medical transportation to that facility provided the hospital is located within the country of residence (U.S. or Canada) and the patient is unable to travel by commercial means without a medical escort. (This benefit not available for Short Term Plans.)
AirMed provides Emergency Physician Consultation on a 24/7 basis. This includes access to AirMed’s extensive database of English-speaking doctors, Western-trained doctors and other specialists worldwide. Our representatives can contact doctors for traveling members or provide them with a list of nearby doctors and medical facilities to treat anything from a stomach virus to a life-threatening injury. And if needed, we can provide translation services for those facing language barriers.
The AirMed medical staff stays in continuous contact with both your family and your local medical provider to completely assess the situation, monitor your condition, and begin making the necessary patient transport arrangements. This thorough communication continues throughout the entire patient transport.
Members have 24/7 access to the AirMed Communications Center for up-to-the-minute global threat assessments, foreign travel advisories, pre-trip threat evaluations, and political and security evacuation arrangements.
Members are also privy to in-depth risk forecasting and analysis, worldwide travel policies, safety briefings, and real-time alerts for countries and major cities around the globe. And if that weren’t enough, essential travel and cultural information, law enforcement capabilities and much more are only a call or a click away.
If an AirMed member should pass away while traveling 150 miles or more from their primary residence, AirMed will arrange and pay for all necessary government authorizations, provide something appropriate for their transport and return the remains for burial.
