Arthur Pieplow

Since 1989 Arthur “Skip” Pieplow has been making sure that AirMed’s fleet of aircraft is maintained above and beyond FAA and our operational standards. As Director of Maintenance, Pieplow is responsible for the management of the complete maintenance program, which includes managing its personnel, scheduling and production. In compliance with CFR135.435 requirements, he holds an Airframe and Power Plant License and a current Inspection Authorization as well. Our aircraft do not fly unless thoroughly inspected by maintenance staff under Pieplow's supervision. Skip Pieplow not only wrote our general maintenance manual and worked with the FAA for its approval, but also designed the aeromedical transport equipment and developed the custom medical interiors for our Hawker aircraft. He also manages and directs heavy maintenance inspections in house and at major aircraft service centers, including remote-based aircraft in Hawaii, Minnesota, Middle East and the Continental United States.

His profession expertise comes from his extensive professional and technical education background, including attendance of Summit Solutions SimuFlight Human Factors for Aviation Maintenance, FlightSafety Boeing Initial Maintenance BBJ 737-6/7 (IGW) 8/900 series aircraft, Boeing Digital Data Training and Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA), CAE Simuflight Initial Maintenance Cessna Citation I and II, CAE Simuflight Initial Maintenance Learjet 35/36 series, AI Renewal Courses over the years, Hawker Service School (1971) Initial Maintenance, FlightSafety HS 125-700 Initial Maintenance, Airesearch TFE 731 Line Maintenance, FlightSafety (Beechcraft) King Air 200 Initial Maintenance, and Texas A&M University Executive Protection Course.
